Weekly catch up!

Wow! Last week was a very busy week! And, for most of the week I forgot my camera. So sorry! Once I get some pics from some friends I will update my blog. Just to catch you up...last weekend was busy, but so fun! We spent a lot of time at the pool, socializing with friends and had to visit the Snowcone Lady! It was great! Then on Monday, the girls had their second swim lesson. Yes, I have forgotten my camera for 2 lessons now. Bummer! Laney is doing great! Emma is a little scared and not sure about the whole swimming without mommy thing. :) But, I have great confidence in her and her instructor and I know she will get the hang of it soon! On Tuesday we had playgroup at our pool. Lot's of fun with our new friends! Then we ALL took naps (yea for mommy) and then went over to my sister's pool! Jimmie and Rick had to work late, so we had a girls night over there. It was very fun!! And, Garett's friend Madi joined us - she became Emma and Laney's new friend, too! On Wednesday we just hung out (I think - can't remember) and then Regina and I went to the church to help decorate for VBS. This was very fun! It gave Regina and I time to color, paint, and chat without interruption. Fun!! Fun!! On Thursday, Kara came over in the morning and watched the girls for me while I ran up to the church. They had so much fun!! It's amazing how each one of my sisters interacts with them so differently, but perfectly! They had a camp out in the girls room! Emma and Laney got in their PJs, played in the tent Kara made over the crib and ate smores made out of little marshmellows and wheat thins. They all had a blast. The girls also got their nails painted! What a treat! That afternoon Regina's girls came over and spent the rest of the day with us while the guys went on a golf outing and Regina worked! That was great! The girls just ran and ran! They took about 2 minutes to eat pizza and then they were on the go again! :) Needless to say, we all crashed at the end of the day! On Friday, we went to Storytime with Erin and the boys and Regina and the girls. Wow! It was crowded! Mothergoose was there, so you can imagine how many kids were there to meet her! It was so entertaining. However, before storytime, when we were standing in line, we lost one of Regina's little ones. Praise God, she was alright. But, for about five minutes we were panicing. There is nothing like the feeling of when you can't find one of your kids. Last night we had Erin and Chris over for dinner. We had blast. They are great friends! The the kids played so well together. Today Jimmie made his Saturday breakfast, we relaxed for a while, then headed to the pool. After the pool, Jimmie and Emma headed out for an afternoon golf game, while Laney and I stayed home. Ahhh!!! Catch up time for me while Laney is sleeping. What a great week! We also have a guest staying with us this weekend. Bailey Wedow is with us, Kara and Rick's beagle. It has been great and the girls just love her. She even enjoyed Jimmie's Saturday breakfast - silly dog.
