The Sharps and Taylors come to visit!!

The first of August Susan and Layne came to visit from KC. It was so great to see them!! And, we had a great time! And, we got to celebrate Layne's 16th b-day with her. A little background for those of you that don't know them...Susan and Jeff were mentors over our young marrieds class, Susan and Layne watched our girls in the nursery at church since they were babies, they were our neighbors/friends, Layne babysat for us, and we had Adam and Layne in our Lifegroup. This family has been such a blessing to ours. Each person in their family has touched our lives in such a special way! When we were in need, they were always there for us! And, Susan and Jeff are always great to give us parenting advice! You can't go wrong with them! They are a great family and two really great kids! We were so happy to see them! The girls just love Layne!! Emma told me that there is something wrong with Texas because she doesn't have a babysitter here. Little does she know that it's hard to find someone like Layne!!

The Taylor's dropped by for a visit on their way to Houston! This was so fun! It was so great that the two trips over lapped. It was kinda like being in KC again! We had so much fun with everyone! And, Emma got to have her first sleep over party with Olivia. The Taylor's are another family that have been such a blessing to us and we love them dearly! Jimmie got to know Jerry while working with the youth group at our church in KC. I came to know them when this wonderful couple came to my dad's visitation, brought brownies, and offered to take the kids during the funeral. At the time, Emma was almost 2 and Laney was 6 weeks old. I was nervous leaving them, but really appreciated the help!! Ever since they have had a special place in our hearts! They have always been there for us and our girls just love Olivia!! We had their older daughter Kezia in our Life Group the first year and the second year we hosted with Jerry and Anne (before we decided to move to Tx). We really miss them!!

We love Texas so much, but we miss our great family and friends back in KC!! God has truly blessed us with great friends!
